Title: A Day
Genre: Comedy, Fluff
Summary: A somewhat normal afterschool-ish day with Qmi.
A/N: It's a little short >.<
Kyuhyun had walked into an empty classroom. He searched the room with his eyes and spotted him. "Zhoumi." Kyuhyun called. Zhoumi was fast asleep on his desk, drooling on his papers.
Zhoumi shifted in response but relaxed afterwards and sat still again. He called Zhoumi's name several times by now and he even shook him by the shoulders. Kyuhyun sighed. He set his bag on the floor and pinched Zhoumi’s nose tightly. Zhoumi shifted uncomfortably. Kyuhyun held Zhoumi's lips together, not allowing him to breathe from either passage way. Zhoumi began to react. Not long after, he snapped his eyes open and coughed. He sat up and continued to cough.
"Kui Xian, what was that for?" He coughed again and realized there was saliva dripping form the corner of his lips. Kyuhyun handed him a tissue to wipe the ink that had molded on his cheek, off.
"You were asleep, and I had to wake you." Kyuhyun simply replied. He swung his backpack over his shoulder and headed for the door.
Zhoumi gathered his stuff and placed them in his backpack and hurried over to Kyuhyun. "Couldn't you have used a less life-threatening method?"
Kyuhyun smirked. "But that'd take up so much time." Zhoumi scoffed under his breath. They walked around the hallways before leaving the school gates.
"Don't you have a computer meeting with your club now?" Zhoumi asked. Kyuhyun thought for a moment.
Zhoumi gave him a perplexed look. "Aren't you going to go then?"
Kyuhyun shook his head. "I'm almost at the last level of my video game. The whole computer lab can explode into smithereens for all I care." Zhoumi chuckled.
They walked in almost perfect unison. Of course Zhoumi, with his long legs had his advantage of increasing speed. They stopped by a fast-food restaurant near their school.
"Who paid last time?" Zhoumi asked. He looked through his wallet to double check he had enough. Kyuhyun did the same.
"I don't know, can't remember." Kyuhyun replied.
Eventually after arguing about it for a while, they decided to split the cost. This was a good idea considering they each only had half the amount of the price.
"I hope it snows." Zhoumi mumbled between bites of his burger. Kyuhyun threw a questionable face at him.
"Cause you get to drink hot chocolate and actually feel warm from drinking it, make snowmen, make snow angels, have snow ball fights and-"
"But winter is probably the main season for catching the flu." Kyuhyun interrupted. He bit his fry.
Zhoumi chuckled. "I get the flu more often in the summer, rather then the winter Kui Xian." Kyuhyun had a sudden flashback of last summer. He shuddered a bit. He sipped his soda, shivering at his body temperature dropping by the cold liquid. Zhoumi was an odd ball, according to Kyuhyun. Of course everyone thought that Zhoumi was very unique in almost every possible way. Just at a glance you'd tell.
Zhoumi glanced at his wrist watch and yawned behind his hand. He looked into Kyuhyun's eyes for a second then locked them, with Zhoumi’s. Both of them had random moments of staring at each other, until it ended up as a staring contest. They usually wouldn't determine a winner since they would always get interrupted.
"I have to go home and finish the game tonight." Kyuhyun blurted. Zhoumi nodded his head. The gaze on each other didn't break apart. Even when they were wrapping their scarves around their necks, or when Kyuhyun had to walk backwards and open the glass door with his back, to walk out of the restaurant without losing his eye-lock with Zhoumi. Everyone at the fast-food restaurant had their eyes on them for a second and then went back to whatever they were doing.
"I hope you’re happy." Kyuhyun grumbled. Zhoumi had his phone between his shoulder and the side of his jaw, reaching for the baking powder on the top shelf.
"What did I do?" He asked. Kyuhyun on the other line was pacing in his room. Thinking of a plan on how to cram till dawn and manage to finish a video game.
"My player got killed, the moment you called." Kyuhyun nibbled on his nail. Zhoumi measured the baking powder and poured it into the big bowl of soon-to-be snack.
"I'm sure you'd finish it again by the end of the week." Zhoumi said. Kyuhyun heard the roaring, and gearing of the electric mixer. He waited until he heard the blaring of the beater quieted.
"At 10:00 o’clock at night?"
Kyuhyun didn't bother to ask anymore than what he needed to know. "Well I'm not letting two weeks of my precious time go down the drain." He held the receiver of his phone under his chin and had the game console ready in his hands. He rapidly pushed buttons, starting the first level again. Zhoumi was busy pouring the mix into a baking try and pushed in the oven.
"So, I assume you started playing again." Zhoumi said, after listening to the muted buttons clicking and silent irritated huffs. Kyuhyun muttered in response, something that sounded somewhat comparable to "Not now, too busy."
Zhoumi chuckled and said he'd see him at school tomorrow. With that, both of them hung up and stayed up late, for their own interests.
A/N: It's the first time I wrote Qmi as the main, (besides the one drabble I wrote about them along with another pairing) so if you see that I wrote Qmi a little... strangely(?) that's probably the reason why, so if you didin't like the way I wrote them I'm sorry. (I'm also sorry that it wasn't longer XP)
